Hey everyone!
So, I used to blog all the time but I took awhile off from it. It was mostly to really get my life back on track, to prioritize things, and get right with the Lord. Now, I am ready to get back into the swing of this and blog. :)
I'll give a quick update on all that I did this summer, then will tell you what I am doing this fall and what the plans are for next year.
Summer: This summer was incredible. I had the amazing opportunity to go on a missions trip to Turkey. The team that I got to be apart of was made up of 5 people. Our church partners with missionaries that we support from our church. We got to come along side them and help run a Holiday Adventure camp for kids. It was a trip that changed my heart for the nations- it opened my eyes and I really would love to be a missionary in the future. This summer, I also ran a half marathon in Chicago. It was one of the hardest things I have ever done- but it was SO much fun!
This fall: This fall has been crazy! I decided to go out for Scott's cross country team. I hate running by the way... but I really needed to make friends, so I decided to go out for it. And I am really glad that I did- I can't imagine going through the day without seeing my teammates! We have grown to be really close. So thankful for that. But, I am also excited that the season is almost over. I HATE IT. This fall, I am also enrolled in 20 credits. Long story short, the school didn't tell me that I would be screwed for graduation. So, I am taking above and beyond what a normal college student takes...and to be honest, I am always doing homework and very stressed. Please pray for sanity!
Next year: So next year I am planning on getting my Associates Degree from Scott (if I pass all my classes). And in the fall of next year, I REALLY am hoping to transfer to Moody Bible Institute...Lord willing. I feel a lot of peace about it, but I haven't even gotten accepted yet or checked out the school. If I attended there I would major in Ministry to Victims of Sexual Exploitation and either combine that with Communications or TESOL. Working with those who have been sexually abused is a huge passion of mine that the Lord is growing in me day by day.
So yeah, there's a little update about my life. I'm excited to start blogging again. Hopefully you will be encouraged by my blog posts!
