This is a page in my journal I found from August 10, 2010. This day was absolutely crazy and it changed my life- God used my friends and I in an incredible way.
August 10,
You move in so many ways God. I am so in love with You and how you have used me this summer. Today at about 10:15pm... Tina, Cierra, and I were driving on Bridge and Locust street coming home from Jessi's house. At the intersection, a man was walking out into the middle of the road trying to commit suicide. He layed down in the middle of the road and purposely tried rolling into the path of cars. Many cars had to swerve to not hit him... All three of us girls were freaked out, not knowing what to do... so we called 911 and told them the situation. At the same time that this was happening, people from other cars kept yelling at him, calling him stupid and a ton of different names. As soon as we got off the phone, we all got out of Tina's car and we rushed to the corner of the street, all of us trying to calm the man down. Cierra started yelling, "God loves you! He died for you! Please stop!" While she was doing this, Tina and I were praying over the situation. We begged God that this man would come off the road. When we got done praying this man ran over to us, collapsed on the ground, and he bowed at our feet saying he didn't know where he was (obviously he was drunk). He questioned why we kept saying that God loves Him... and he said that God could only love people like us, and not him. This is when the ambulance got there and took him away. He kept on thanking us over and over again. We could easily of said that we saved a life, but it was ALL for the Lord.
