I am just sitting here thinking about what I am thankful for. I'm thankful for so much. There are so many other things I am thankful for that I could have put down. But here's the top 10 serious things I am thankful for:
1. Thankful for Marisa and Jim letting me live with them these 2 years. Words can't express how much I love them and appreciate them opening their home up to me. They've really become my "parents".
2. Cross country team. I really did not like running at all, I just did it for the friends. And, I met some of my best friends this year.
3. Twelvestones. Going to Twelvestones was a huge leap of faith for me, and one of the biggest blessings. I realized how much I am being pursued by God and experienced true freedom in Christ. Very thankful for Kim and Anne Miller who have walked with me through it all.
4. My parents. Even though they aren't together and I never see them, I truly appreciate all that they do and have done for me. Also...my grandma. She is truly my rock in our family.
5. Having the opportunity to travel at such a young age. I've been to almost all 50 states. I've been to Turkey on a missions trip, and next summer I will be going on a missions trip to Zambia, Afrcia. I can't wait to plant myself and be a missionary in a different country some day.
6. My education. Although I really disliked my high school and school in general growing up, I am thankful for all that I learned and the teachers that encouraged me and taught me a long the way. Also, I'm thankful for Scott. It wasn't in my plan...that's for sure. But it was totally in His!
7. My best friend, Christina. She's literally my other half and no one in this world could replace her. Proud of her serving our country and doing what she wants to do, not what other people want her to do. I would do just about anything for her and would not be who I am today without her.
8. Youth Hope. My job. I love it so much. It's definitely one of the hardest jobs that I have had, but it is the definitely most rewarding. I pray that the kids would see me as a leader who is for them and not against them.
9. Angie and Andy. Just like Marisa and Jim, they have "adopted" me into their family. They love me and treat me like one of their own, and I don't feel like I stick out when I'm with them. I really appreciate all that they have done for me. So very thankful for this family.
10. Last, but not least...I am thankful for Jesus. I am not who I am today without Christ. He saved me. He forgave me. He loves me. Can't wait until I see Him in Heaven someday. Also, I am thankful for the people I have met at Harvest Bible Chapel. All of them.
Thank you God.
Here's a list of 10 not so serious things I am thankful for:
1. Starbucks and tea.
2. Sweatshirts.
3. My heated mattress pad and teddy bear.
4. Pooping. Like if we didn't poop, that would be gross. Plus, you always feel better when you're done.
5. Sauerkraut and mash potatoes. My FAVORITE meal ever!
6. Animals. Even though I am allergic to everything that is hairy, I still love them.
7. Art and writing. It is truly a way for me to express myself.
8. Facebook, Instagram, and Pinterest. Nuff said. I feel like people look down on these because they are social media. But I'm thankful for this because I can share Jesus!
9. My car. If I didn't have a car, then my life would be plain boring. And I wouldn't know what to do with myself.
10. Laundry. Praise the Lord that I don't have to wash my clothes by hand. Ya know what I'm saying? I wish it could just fold itself and put itself away.
