Africa Prayers

Hello everyone,

This blog post is for all of you that do not get my weekly prayer emails about Africa… so on this blog I am going to be posting a couple things you can prayer for if it crosses your mind.  Our team is really thankful for all of your prayers and support. This trip could not have happened without you guys! 

Here is a couple things you could pray for... 

1. So with any normal trip I guess I just want to ask for prayer for health. We will be traveling for a total of 48 hours there and another 48 hours back. I tend to get sick on planes, so can you just pray that it wouldn’t happen I guess? It is never a fun time. Pray that God would protect any one of us from any sickness during our travel time, our time in Zambia, and on our way back.

2. Also, pray for open hearts… for all of us. Pray that we would all go into this trip with no expectations and would just live in the moment… with no fears, no anxiety, or even no worries. Pray that we would be reminded that God is a God who is BIGGER than our doubts and fears.  He is a God that is bigger than us being out of our comfort zone. We have all realized that we will be pushed out of our comfort zones, and I just pray when we are…that we would hold on to the truth that God is with us and that nothing is impossible with God.

3. Pray for team bonding. While some of us girls know each other really well, others don’t. Pray that God would bring this team and leaders closer by His Spirit working in us. Pray that we would have unity and that we would be looking towards the same purpose. To LOVE others and make Him KNOWN. Also, pray for relationships to be built with the people of Zambia. I don't want to go on this trip just for the "experience" but rather, I want to build relationships that last forever. 

But yeah, I  think that is it with prayer requests. To sum all of this up, just pray that we would come back changed. I want to come back with a greater love for the Lord as well as a greater heart for His people. I am just super excited for this trip. CRAZY THAT IT IS IN THREE DAYS.  

Super excited for what God is going to do during our time there as well as a little nervous!  He is already working there and we just get to join Him in that. Thankful that He is a God that pursues people all over the world.
