My Future

Over and over again, especially since being at Moody, I am asked what I am going to do for the rest of my life.

And I have one answer.

I have no idea.

I think about my future all the time. I can't even tell you how many times that I am what I am going to do with the rest of my life. My immediate answer though, is that I want to be a missionary in Africa. That's my first response. And it comes out of my mouth without even thinking.

In reality though, I haven't the slightest clue as to what I will do with the rest of my life. I know that I am supposed to go out unto the world and make disciples in the name of Jesus Christ.  With the passion that God has given me for the world, I know that I will not be living in America for much longer....at least I hope not. God has given me the BIGGEST heart for the nations, especially those people in unreached countries that have not heard the Gospel yet.

So for now, I am just seeking His will. I am studying hard in school and am trying to figure out life. I know that God has called me and placed me at Moody for a reason. I never thought that I would be here, but He has a plan. And His plans are good. I frequently have questions arise in my head such as, "Will I need to get a Graduate degree? What will I pair with my major? Will I even be able to support myself financially after college?" I am sure that a lot of Bible College kids have these questions and doubts, and for the most part... I think they are good questions to have. All I know, is that He has given me a huge heart for the nations, and I am so excited to see how God is going to use that.

I have to remember that my future is the Lord's and that He WILL provide for me every step of the way.  He will lead me through every decision and step that I make.

"Lord, lead me. Lead me to what job you want me to have. Help me to hold your hand and let you guide my every decision in regards to my future. I want to glorify You and serve You to the best of my ability. I will follow you."
