Reflections

Tomorrow is Christmas Day and what better time to reflect on the Lord and His birth than right now.  I feel that I have not done a good job this year of really focusing my heart on Christ. Sometimes Christmas can get all to "familiar" with the Christmas Story and we can find ourselves going through the motions...so not a good place for our hearts to be in.

In my own life, I can find it so easy to get wrapped in all the holiday hustle and bustle- family, friends, food, and gifts. Do we, (as Christians) ever take time to just sit back, relax, and reflect? We should be coming into this season with hearts that want to worship Christ. We should be coming into this season with hearts that are in awe of what Christ has done for us. We should be coming into this season with adoration in our hearts.

OUR SAVIOR HAS BEEN BORN. What joy this should bring us.

We have to remember that what is most important this season is not the gifts under the tree, or even the family you get to love on and all the traditions you get to make... but what is most important is our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. What He did for us should make us want to worship Him with every fiber in us and it should bring so much joy to our hearts.

Let us reflect Him in every aspect of our lives and take time out of our Christmas plans this year to spend time with Him. He is the most important gift of all. May you and I consistently be pointing others to Him, and not just during this season but everyday of our lives.  The world needs to know that there is a God who came, died, and rose again.

May you and I be a light this holiday season and each and everyday of our lives.
